     Brett Favre was born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Brett Favre is argued to be one of the greatest quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. Most people know that Brett Favre played for the Green Bay Packers for the majority of his career, but he also took his talents to a few other franchises. Favre started his career in the NFL on the Atlanta Falcons He only played for Atlanta for his rookie year before moving on to Green Bay for the next 17 seasons. His seasons with the Packers were the highlight of his career. After his time in Green Bay Favre moved on to the New York Jets for one year. He finished his career with two seasons on the Minnesota Vikings.

• completed 6,441 passes in his career for a total of 71,838 yards
• 508 touchdown passes
• 336 pass interceptions

Interesting Facts:

• Brett Farve majored in special education at the University of Southern Mississippi.
• Favre was recruited by Southern Mississippi as a defensive back.
• Favre had three siblings: Scott, Jeff, and Brandi.
• After Favre retired from the NFL he coached a high school football team from his hometown; Kiln, Mississippi. He led that team to its first ever state championship.
• Just six weeks before Favre's senior season at Southern Mississippi he was in a severe car accident. Doctors needed to remove 30 in. of his small intestine to keep him alive.
• In 17 seasons with the Green Bay Packers Favre only had one losing season.
